GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTIONOur client, a diversified maritime company is looking to hire an experienced Tanker Marine Superintendent for their coastal tanker fleet operating off the West Coast of Africa. This role will report to the Vice President and supervise the Marine Group of the Ship Management unit. ABOUT OUR CLIENT Our client is an integrated maritime company with activities in Ship Management and other related segments. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTThe successful applicant should hold a Master or Chief Officer’s ticket with at least 3 years of sailing experience. You should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Transportation or a Post Graduate studies with a minimum of 3 years’ operational level experience. Experience in tanker vessels is essential. Your soft skills should include analytical capability with strong leadership and excellent communication skills. You will have strong interpersonal skills and a team player with a positive and innovative attitude to build open relationships with the Ship Manager and Fleet Manager. - Day to day operational coordination with the Technical team and oversee the safe operation of the Fleet and crew assessment in coordination with Crewing Department and Technical group.
- Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of ship management Security and QHSE, evaluation of performance and training needs analysis of Officers and Crew as well as ship personnel training.
- Oversee Port State and Flag State inspection results.
